Modx is so powerful that it can be configured to be used by everyone.

This set of configuration parameters is grouped in a "Model" that we have called "MX3" for ModX Model Version 3...

MX3 contains :

  • All Modx CMS sources (php) simply installable on your hosting
  • the associated ModX database (mySql) configured ready for use
  • All ModX models, plugins, chunks and snippets giving all the power to the models

The setup of MX3 is done by:

  • copying all sources into your hosting directory
  • creating a database and injecting the SQL configuration file
  • updating 3 configuration parameters to indicate where your database is.
  • and it's off to access its management via the "Manager"
  • from the manager, you can:
    • configure the colors of your site
    • integrate your logo, images and all your texts
    • indicate your contact email addresses
